The Truro Council on Aging identifies needs and interests of older citizens (59+) in the community, and develops
programs and services in response to those needs/interests. There are no age restrictions for attending the Council
on Aging programs or using the services. The Truro COA specializes in "creative aging". The Transportation Program
is for older adults but is available to Truro residents of all ages for medical appointments, Cape and Boston area and door
to door service for non-medical trips including groceries, shopping, banking, Post Office, and local events.
Please feel free to come into the Council on Aging for a meal at the COA Cafe, an exercise class, a movie, free baked goods,
a blood pressure check and any number of other activities that we offer.

Mission
The mission of the Truro Council on Aging is to identify the needs and
interests of the community's elderly; to educate the community and
enlist support and participation of all citizens concerning these needs
and interests; to design, promote, and carry out programs; and to
coordinate existing services within our community.
