In accordance with the Charter passed at ATE, April 22, 1992, and M.G.L. c. 48 §45, the Board of Selectmen (amended in 1997) appoints no less than 5 annually for 1-year terms, in April of each year, with the term to begin May 1. On May 20, 1997, the Board voted to increase the Fire Engineers to a (5) member board.
