Book Groups

The Zoom Mystery Book Group meets on the first Monday of even-numbered months at 6 pm over Zoom. Please check our events calendar for the upcoming selections. Copies are available at the circulation desk several weeks before the discussion. Please email Chris Kaufmann for a Zoom link.

The new Walk & Talk Book Group meets at a different location on the 2nd Friday of each month at 9 am to walk easy trails while discussing whatever books members are reading and to get information on new releases and staff picks while showing new Library Director Chris Kaufmann around Truro! Please check our events calendar for the next location or call the library or email Chris to learn more about the group.

The Truro Library Book Group is now meeting virtually and in person on the last Wednesday of each month at 2 pm. Please check our events calendar for the upcoming selections. Copies are available at the circulation desk a few weeks before the discussion. New members are welcome! Please call the library or email Maggie Hanelt for more information.

We are proud to host a chapter of the Next Chapter Book Club (NCBC) here in Truro, in an effort to offer opportunities for regular social connections, authentic community inclusion, and life-long learning to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We hope that anyone interested in being a member or a facilitator will contact us to learn more. Download a document with more information about the club and why people like to join (PDF). If you are interested in joining, please contact Maggie Hanelt at the Library.
