Register Your Dog Online!
Per Massachusetts General Law, Ch. 140, Section 137a, all dogs over the age of six months are required to be licensed with the towns licensing authority. Dog Licenses are valid for the calendar year, expiring December 31 of the given year.
To obtain a dog license, please come to the Licensing/Administration office at Truro Town Hall, 24 Town Hall Road. An up-to-date rabies certificate as well as a completed dog license application are required in order to obtain a dog license. Completed applications can also be mailed in using P.O. Box 2030, Truro, MA 02666. The office is open to the public Tuesday-Friday, 8am-4pm and open by appointment on Mondays, 8am-4pm.
The fee for a spayed/neutered dog is $5/dog and the fee for an intact dog is $15/dog. Payment can be made by cash, check, or card. If paying by check, please make it payable to the Town of Truro.
